=== FairCoin 2 y la prueba de cooperaci贸n === El 18 de julio de 2017, FairCoin pas贸 de un sistema basado en prueba de participaci贸n (Proof of Stake, PoS) a otro denominado prueba de cooperaci贸n (Proof of Cooperation, PoC). Esta transici贸n dio lugar a una nueva etapa tecnol贸gica del proyecto, conocida como FairCoin 2.<ref name="whitepaper" /> El nuevo protocolo elimin贸 la miner铆a competitiva y la generaci贸n de monedas mediante participaci贸n. En su lugar, la creaci贸n de bloques se asignaba a nodos validadores cooperativos, conocidos como ''Cooperatively Validated Nodes'' (CVN). Estos nodos colaboraban para alcanzar consenso sobre la producci贸n de nuevos bloques y validar las transacciones. El objetivo era reducir el consumo de recursos asociado a la generaci贸n de bloques y vincular el funcionamiento t茅cnico de la red a un modelo de cooperaci贸n entre validadores.
